Meet Kris Marvin ~ Children’s Author • Conservation Educator
Children’s stories inspired by the sea, kindness, and curiousity.
I’m Kris, a Florida-based children’s author, conservation educator, and lifelong lover of the ocean. Through stories inspired by coastal life, wildlife, and the small moments that spark wonder, I hope to help children discover that imagination can change the world.
My books blend humor, heart, adventure, and gentle environmental themes, encouraging young readers and families to explore nature, ask questions, and care for the world we all share. Every story is an invitation to wonder—and a reminder that everything matters.
When I’m not writing, you’ll usually find me leading author visits, educational programs, beach walks, and community events that connect children with the natural world. Whether we’re discovering seashells, reading together at sunset, or exploring ocean life, my goal is always the same: to help children see themselves as curious explorers, compassionate stewards, and people who can make a difference.
From playful rhymes to meaningful conservation themes, these books are created to spark curiosity, empathy, and care for our oceans and shared world.
Perfect For:

Are any new books in the works?
Absolutely! My fifth and sixth books are already swimming their way onto the page.
One will introduce readers to some of the ocean’s most unusual and overlooked creatures—proving that you don’t have to blend in to belong. It’s a story full of humor, heart, and surprising discoveries about animals many people have never even heard of.
The other takes readers behind the scenes of a sea turtle rescue. From the caring strangers who find an injured turtle on the beach to the volunteers, transport teams, veterinarians, and rehabilitation staff who work together to help it heal, this story celebrates compassion, teamwork, and hope. I’m looking forward to learning even more by interviewing the incredible people who make these rescues possible.
I can’t wait to share both adventures with you!
Are signed copies available?
Absolutely! Signed copies are always available at no extra cost. Even better, 100% of my proceeds are donated to grassroots coastal conservation organizations—the people with sand on their shoes doing the hands-on work to protect our oceans every day. If you’d like a signed copy, I’d love to personalize one for you! Just reach out through my Contact page for details.
